Atlases of Suffolk County, north shore, 1909, and south shore, 1902, 1915; Long Island, 1873; New York City (Manhattan), 1884, 1912; Brooklyn, 1912, and the Bronx, 1912. Maps include Suffolk County, and New York, Kings, Queens, and Richmond Counties, both by David H. Burr, 1829. Also, Suffolk County, 1858, by J. Chase; Sanborn maps of Smithtown Branch, 1927, and of Kings Park, 1942; Nassau County real estate map, 1923; Long Island, 1847, 1897, 1906; Long Island Rail Road, 1884, 1914; and a map of "The Country 30 Miles Round the City of New York," 1812. Historical maps, some of which may be reprints or reproductions, include maps from the 17th and 18th centuries of North America, Canada, New Netherlands, New York, New England, and other regions. There is a photostat copy of a British map of New York City, Staten Island, and part of Long Island, 1781; and a hand-colored "Representation of the Massacre of the American Prisoners in Dartmoor Prison [England], April 6, 1815," printed, 1845. Also, United States Geological Survey (USGS) topographic maps of Long Island, starting 1904; and USGS coastline surveys of the north shore of Long Island, with sounding depths, 1837 and 1886.
